The IWC is coordinated by <em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.wetlands.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Wetlands International<\/a><\/em> and it is organized every year in most countries of the world. <!--more-->In 2015 the period of observations was between 10<sup>th<\/sup> and 30<sup>th<\/sup> of January and the results of waterbird counting had to be provided the IWC until 15<sup>th<\/sup> of February.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_629\" style=\"width: 275px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"http:\/\/arcus.org.rs\/eng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/zobnatica.lake1_.Photo_.Sihelnik.J..jpg\"><img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-629\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-629\" title=\"Zobnatica lake (Photo: Sihelnik J\u00f3zsef)\" src=\"http:\/\/arcus.org.rs\/eng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/zobnatica.lake1_.Photo_.Sihelnik.J.-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"Zobnatica lake (Photo: Sihelnik J\u00f3zsef)\" width=\"265\" height=\"177\" srcset=\"https:\/\/arcus.org.rs\/eng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/zobnatica.lake1_.Photo_.Sihelnik.J.-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/arcus.org.rs\/eng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/zobnatica.lake1_.Photo_.Sihelnik.J..jpg 840w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 265px) 100vw, 265px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-629\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Zobnatica lake (Photo: Sihelnik J\u00f3zsef)<\/p><\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Ornithologists from Ornithological work group of Arcus Ecological Association participate in national survey since 2012. On 27<sup>th<\/sup> of January 2015 the whole area of the Zobnatica lake was observed, as well as the Krivaja creek completely to \u0110ur\u0111in.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In our observation area the most important waterbird species were the following: <strong>Mallard<\/strong> (<em>Anas platyrhynchos<\/em>) 64,\u00a0<strong>Eurasian<span class=\"fontstyle0\"> Coot<\/span><\/strong> (<em>Fulica atra<\/em>) 57,\u00a0<strong><span class=\"fontstyle0\">Common<\/span><\/strong> <strong>Reed Bunting<\/strong> (<em>Emberiza schoeniclus<\/em>) 27, <strong>Mute Swan<\/strong> (<em>Cygnus olor<\/em>) 16,\u00a0<strong>Eurasian<\/strong> <strong><span class=\"fontstyle0\">Penduline Tit<\/span><\/strong> (<em>Remiz pendulinus<\/em>) 9, <strong><span class=\"fontstyle0\">Common<\/span><\/strong> <strong>Goldeneye<\/strong> (<em>Bucephala clangula<\/em>) 2,\u00a0<strong><span class=\"fontstyle0\">Bearded Reedling<\/span><\/strong> (<em>Panurus biarmicus<\/em>) 2 and <strong>Grey Heron<\/strong> (<em>Ardea cinerea<\/em>) 1.
