Since 2011, The International Waterbird Census (IWC) in Serbia is coordinated by Bird Study and Protection Society of Serbia. The IWC is coordinated by Wetlands International and it is organized every year in most countries of the world.
Every year, from its very beginning, Arcus Ecological Association takes part in organization of series of popular science lectures.
On 12th January 1991, a handful of youth from Bačka Topola interested in environment and nature protection held foundation session of Arcus Ecological Association. Section founded in 1988 within Youth Association is considered as predecessor of Arcus Ecological Association.
